MEET JOSEPHINE

Josephine Cashman is an award-winning actress, writer and filmmaker based in New York City. Born in Atlanta and raised in Boston, she’s equal parts Georgia Peach and Boston Bean.

After moving to NYC to study at Columbia, she began her professional acting career in soap operas, appearing in recurring roles on One Live to Life and As the World Turns. She has performed extensively on both stage and screen, and most recently produced and starred in multiple award-winning short films, including Incurable, Right to Privacy, and Don’t Go Against the Family. Right to Privacy and Incurable each earned Jury Prizes at the Fairhope Film Festival, while Right to Privacy won the Audience Award for Best Acting at the Poppy Jasper Film Festival and Best Ensemble at Brightside Film Festival. Her work continues to attract attention for its nuance and depth at festivals across the country.

When she’s not on set or writing her next script, Josephine can be found with her nose in a book or on the road—her most recent adventure took her all the way to Antarctica, where she took her first polar plunge.
